Sharing Our Story, One Chapter at a Time
Since opening Healing Paws Cat Sanctuary in 2013, our mission has never been about seeking the spotlight. Our focus has always been the same—providing safety, medical care, and lifelong love to cats who have nowhere else to go.
Over the years, however, members of the media have helped share our story with thousands of people. From highlighting remarkable rescues to covering the challenges we've faced and the exciting future we're building in Oklahoma, each story has helped raise awareness for the cats who depend on us every day.
We are incredibly grateful to the reporters, photographers, and news organizations who have taken the time to visit our sanctuary and share our mission with their audiences. Their support has helped connect compassionate people with the work we do, making it possible for even more cats to receive the care they deserve.
News 9 Interview
In October 2025, we had the privilege of visiting the News 9 studios in Oklahoma City to share the story of Healing Paws Cat Sanctuary and one of the biggest challenges we were facing at the time—the failing roof on our nearly 100-year-old historic farmhouse.
The interview highlighted not only the urgent need for repairs but also the incredible dedication of our supporters who continue to stand beside us as we work toward preserving both the sanctuary and the historic home that serves as its heart.
Although we have not yet raised enough funds to replace the roof, that project has now become an important part of our long-term Healing Paws Heritage Preserve Expansion Project. Our vision has grown beyond simply replacing a roof—we are working to restore the historic farmhouse while creating a lasting sanctuary that will continue serving cats, educating visitors, and preserving local history for generations to come.
