For nearly a century, this farmhouse has stood as a quiet witness to the changing history of Wetumka. Built in 1927, it has welcomed generations of families, weathered decades of change, and remained a treasured part of the community.

Today, Healing Paws Cat Sanctuary is honored to preserve this remarkable piece of Oklahoma history—not simply by restoring a building, but by giving it a new purpose.

As the heart of Heritage Preserve, the Historic Farmhouse will serve as the Welcome Center for visitors, volunteers, and supporters. It will be a place where people gather, stories are shared, and new friendships are formed, all while honoring the generations who came before us.

Inside, the farmhouse will house our administrative offices, volunteer headquarters, Critters Corner Mercantile, educational displays, and community gathering spaces. Every room is being thoughtfully restored to respect the character of the original home while creating a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through its doors.

Our goal is not to erase the past, but to preserve it. Original features will be protected whenever possible, and as we continue researching the property's history, we hope to share the stories, photographs, and memories of the families who once called this house home.
